Lifestyle: 10 things you can do to prepare for Spring

by / Monday, 25 February 2013 / Published in INSPIRATION STATION, Lifestyle

Thanks for stopping by Lifestyle Monday.  We cover a broad range of topics in this section and hope they enhance your life in some small way.

Don’t you just love it.  There are already so many signs of Spring in the air!

I don’t know about you, but Spring is my favorite season.

I am already thinking about plans for hanging out outdoors, projects I need to start and potential travel plans over Spring Break.

Join my enthusiasm and grab a few tips to get ready for Spring.

1.  Rearrange your furniture – Changing it up gives it a fresh look.  When I do this, it just makes me feel better.

2.  Rotate your Art – Remove the art from your walls and try it in a different room.  Rotating art for a new perspective gives the room a new energy.

3.   Bring a fresh new scent into your home –  Buy a few scented candles  – I just purchased a sage and pomegranate scent that is out of this world.

4.  Get rid of all non essentials in your home – Donate them to the Salvation Army or other agencies.  I just packed up a bunch of things ( old shredder, chairs, magazines, a VHS player, old printer etc.) to donate to the Veterans of America.

5.  Consign a few pieces at your local consignment shop – It’s  a great way to earn a few extra bucks.

6. Pick up a few trendy home accessories – just to update your space with a new design element.

7.  Add a little “Emerald” to your home – The 2013 color of the year.

8.  Pick up some fresh flowers – Bring a little outside to the inside. I love tulips, so I  picked some up to tie in with my window treatment and artwork in my kitchen.9.  Frame your favorite quote – Place it somewhere that you’ll pass frequently, so you can get a daily dose of inspiration.

10. Create a Visual board of 10 things you want to do by the end of Spring – Check back with it to see how much you’ve accomplished.  I find that things are more likely to get done when you write them down and create a plan of action.
