Get the family involved with these eggs-cellent decorating tips
The DIY Centerpiece ProjectI decided to fiddle with some fresh flowers, moss and florist foam to create this unique centerpiece. If you’d like to try it . The steps are below.
- 1. Soak the foam in water
- 2. Trim the flowers to desired height
- 3. insert them into the foam
- 1.Purchase moss
- 2. This version is from Walmart and comes in a sheet
- 3. Trim and wrap the sheet around the wet foam (this sheet comes with glue dots, but stick pins secure the moss better since it’s wet)
- 4. Trim and save some of the leaves
- 5. Add the leaves to the top of the centerpiece
- 1. Now decorate to your hearts content (I Added metallic plastic eggs)
- 2. Finish it with a ribbon or twine.

- 2. I centered the top in a dessert bowl
- 3. Followed by jelly beans (place these in different places around the house where guests will mingle, and have treats at the ready.
- 4. The centerpiece can also be placed inside an Easter basket too (however, be sure to line it with plastic first)Other tips for embellishing the centerpiece
- 1. Cover the foam with flowers at varying heights
- 2. Replace the real flowers with faux silks
- 3. Add a candle in the center
- 4. Let your creativity go wild
